I made this website to document my journey as I try to retire comfortably by age 50.
I’m 42 now and have worked a lot of different jobs during my life as well as being self-employed and generating income from side-hustles.
I’ve almost always earned enough to get by. Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less.
My lowest ebb financially was when I became about £2000 in debt a few years ago and it was spiralling out of control as I was barely earning enough to cover my rent and bills so the debt was the last thing I was thinking about.
Thankfully, with a bit of help, I got out of that situation.
I am now at the other end of the spectrum – I am earning more than enough to live on and have surplus cash coming in every month.
So, I have recently made a plan to move my extra money to various savings and investment vehicles to try and get the best returns I can from it.
This website keeps a log of where my money is invested, the reasons I decided to use each particular financial option and reviews of the products I use.
